Citizen's Charter

The Department of Agriculture is a government agency responsible for the promotion of agricultural development by providing the policy framework, public investments and support services needed for domestic and export-oriented business enterprise.

In the fulfilment of this mandate, it shall be the primary concern of the department to improve farm income and generate work opportunities for farmers, fishermen, and other rural farmers. It shall encourage people’s participation in agricultural development through sectoral representation in agricultural policy making bodies so that the policies, plans, and programs of the department are formulated and executed to satisfy their needs.

It shall also use a bottom-up self-reliant farm system approach that will emphasize social justice, equity, productivity, and sustainability in the use of agricultural resources.

To collectively empower farmers and fisherfolk and the private sector to increase agricultural productivity and profitability, taking into account sustainability and resilience.

WE, the officials and employees of DA-MIMAROPA with the help of almighty God, DO HEREBY PLEDGE:

  • Serve promptly, efficiently, courteously, justly and with no impartiality from Mondays to Fridays starting at 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (No noon break policy).
  • Enforce strict compliance with service standards, as embodied under RA9485 (Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007) and the guiding principles of RA6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of Public Officials and Employees).
  • Responsive to the needs of the farmers, fisherfolk, stakeholders as well as to the transacting public.
  • Value every citizen’s comments, suggestions and needs especially the poor, the underprivileged and those with special needs such as the differently-abled and elderly.
  • Initiate immediate action in rendering technical and support assistance to clienteles.
  • Committed to serve the public with integrity and dedication.
  • Ensure the public with accurate information through 24/7 access on DA’s policies, activities, through DA-MIMAROPA website.
